Find out when the School Board seats for where you live will be up for election. School Board terms are for 4 years, unless the election is to fill a seat that was vacated early. The Department of Elections has a chart thru 2033 for when all School Board Seats in Delaware will be up for election.

Preview to VOTING in the 2025 School Board Election
Tuesday, May 13th, 7 AM to 8 PM
You do NOT have to be registered to vote with the Department of Elections to vote in a School Board Election.
There is no early voting.
There is Absentee Voting. Go to School Board Absentee Voting for information.
Polling Places will be announced by the DOE closer to the election.
Per Delaware Code when there is only one candidate for the election for a school board seat, the Department declares the candidate elected and does not hold an election for the seat.
To vote in public school elections you must:

Be a citizen of the United States and the State of Delaware.

Be domiciled within the school district for which the election is being conducted.

Be 18 years of age on or before the day of the election.
You must provide proof of identity and address. This includes:

Delaware driver's license
-
Delaware ID card
-
Work ID card with photo and home address
-
U. S. postal material with street address
Other reasonable documents which by themselves or in conjunction with another document can be used to identify the person and their address such as:

A State of Delaware vehicle registration card

A recent utility bill
-
A rent receipt
-
A signed Social Security Card

A telephone directory listing in a current phone book
